It is important to use the measurements for each item, as manufacturers size their products differently.
Please keep in mind, if your measurements are between sizes, it is recommended that you go up one size from the chart listing rather than go down a size. If your measurements fall into more than one size, always go with the larger size.
When measuring it is best to use a cloth tape. (They can be found in the sewing department of most department stores)
CHEST: Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest or bust.
WAIST: Measure loosely around your waist, at about your belly button.
INSEAM: Measure inside your leg from your crotch to your ankle, or take a pair of pants with a length you like, and measure from the crotch seam to hem.
ARMS: Measure from the center of your neck in back, around slightly bent elbow to your wrist.
THIGHS: Measure the biggest part of your thigh for accurate measurements.
HAND: Measure around the fullest part of the hand, just before the knuckles, excluding the thumb.
HEAD: Measure around the fullest part of the head.
